North BurLINKton Teens helps to create fun spaces in community for youth to feel safe, welcomed, and supported. North BurLINKton is proud to partner with Boys and Girls Club to provide programs in your area. Note that all programs and events are free unless otherwise specified.
Bill Shackleton Place
1380 Guelph Line; south end of the complex
Mondays 7:00–9:00pm for ages 12–18. Provides youth with a safe and supportive place to hang out on a weekly basis. Youth are able to connect with supportive adults, and meet other young people from the community. The Drop In site is a non-structured environment that allows youth freedom to choose what they want to participate in. This Centre is equipped with Wii-U, ping pong, foosball, arts and crafts.
1st Monday of the month from 6:00–7:00pm. Provides young people with the skills needed to cook simple, healthy and affordable meals. Youth plan out the menus, and then eat together as a group, building up relationships and interacting with one another.
North Burlington Baptist Church
1377 Walkers Line, lower level of church
Jr High Drop-In
Mondays 3:30–5:30pm for ages 12–14. Provides Burlington youth with a safe space where they can connect with supportive adults, have access to snack, recreation and arts and crafts.
Teen After School Cooking
Tuesdays 3:30–5:30pm for ages 14–18. During these classes youth learn how to make simple, healthy and affordable meals. Youth plan out the menus, and then eat together as a group, building up relationships and interacting with one another.
NBT Sports Nights with Halton Police
Glad Tidings, 1401 Guelph Line
3rd Wednesday of every month from 7:00–8:30pm. Sports Nights give all youth the opportunity to participate in sport and recreation. Youth plan the sports they would like to play, and are able to build up positive relationships with the police officers from the community.
